  1. The Greatest
  2. He who knows and works and teaches, that man shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Yes, indeed. He who knows the Truth, lives the Truth and teaches the Truth shall not only be called the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. He shall become one with the Truth and none can intimidate him.

  3. Why Do Man Leave Gold, In Pursuit Of Frivolities?
  4. How many trees are there, yet all of them do not bear fruit; and how many fruits are there, yet all of them are not good; and how many sciences are there, yet all of them are not useful....
Humanity are numerous, yet only few are earnest in their religious life. Among the few earnest ones, only very few are spiritually awake, progressive and worthy of the kingdom. A wise man prefers one reliable man to multitudes of hypocrites.
A university graduate showed his result sheet to a mystic. The student had scored 'A' in every course, and graduated with First Class Honours. He was expecting commendations from the mystic. The mystic looked at the result and said, "You have mastered the frivolities, and neglected the most important thing."
"W..h..a..t..?..!" exclaimed the graduate with surprise.
"To the world, you are a master," added the mystic. "But in spirit, you are only a novice."

  5. Give Wisdom To Those Who Deserve It.
  6. Do not entrust wisdom to those who are unworthy of it, for you wrong it; and do not withhold it from those who are worthy of it, for you wrong them. Be like a kindly doctor who applies the medicine to the diseased spot. He who entrusts wisdom to those who are unworthy of it is foolish, and he who withholds it from those who are worthy of it does wrong. Verily wisdom has a right and it has people who are worthy of it; so give his right to everyone who possesses a right.
Do not be discouraged because of those who reject the right teachings. They are not yet ready for it. There are many who are already hungry of the Truth. Search them out wherever they are and teach them. Others shall come later knocking on the door for your good teachings. Do not compel any one, yet speak to all as if you are not speaking to them. If any person is not whole-heartedly ready to accpet the Truth, do not ask him to teach others, for he will instead turn their hearts to the old ways of doing things. Identify the innocent and honest ones who are ready to accept the Truth and enlighten them to spread the light. Above all in this ministry, do not become discouraged by immediate benefits, for many who reject the Truth today, shall tomorrow become masters and teachers of the Truth. The farmer sows seeds and goes his way. For a while, both seed and ground seem not to respond to his good intentions. Suddenly, he passes by his farm, only to see so many crops shooting out in response to his plantings. So it is with the Gospel of the Truth.

  7. Pearls Or Wisdom
  8. Do not hang pearls on the necks of swine for wisdom is better than a pearl, and whoever abhors it is worse than swine.
However well you prosper in earthly wealth and honours, remember that the world is only God's own school, which is a castle of illusion, necessary for a while. Do not give a thing to those who do not know the value, for they shall misuse and abuse it. Whosoever that does not strive for spiritual knowledge and wisdom makes himself a swine, for as a swine returns to the slums, so he binds himself by reincarnation to the cycle of rebirth, diseases, decay and death.

  9. Need For Spiritual Science
  10. Learned men who are evil are like a rock which has fallen at the mouth of a river; it does not drink the water, and it does not let the water flow to the field. Learned men who are evil are like the pipe of a lavatory whose outside is plaster, but whose inside is stench. And they are like graves whose outside is flourishing, but whose inside is dead men's bones.
In every community, the learned ones are looked up to for direction. Though, they are highly honoured, they are busy misleading the present and future generations from the path of life, to destruction, without the teeming population realizing that they are already at the precipice. Worse still, both blind leaders and ignorant followers are not ready to accept correction, however well you labour to re-direct them. At occasions, the wise ones are ignored, while the foolish imposters are given all the time to speak falsehood and hold sway.

  11. Prove Your Faith By Doing Good.
  12. He who acquires knowledge and does not act upon it is like a woman who practises immorality in secret, then becomes pregnant and her pregnancy becomes apparent and she is covered with shame. Thus shall God cover with shame on the Day of Resurrection in the sight of witnesses him who does not act upon his knowledge.
It is not enough to know the Truth. You must prove your faithfulness by practising it. Otherwise, you make yourself a hypocrite, who shall be publicly disgraced by his own unworthiness on the day of ressurrection.

  13. Make Use Of What You Already Have
  14. Do not seek knowledge of what you do not know until you practise what you do know.
Continue to seek knowledge and grow in it. More importantly, make sure you practise the Truth, which you already know. Whoever knows the Truth and fails to practise it makes himself a hypocrite.

  15. Hate None.
  16. Make yourselves lovable to God by hating the disobedient, and come near to God by keeping away from them, and seek God's favour by being displeased with them.
Do not hate anything, for hatred is a poison that destroys the hater. Yet, you must attend to the disobedient with love, while dissociating yourself from disobedience. Learn to cultivate calm supremacy of the mind over life's changing situations.

  17. Associate With The Saints.
  18. They said, "O Spirit of God, with whom, then, shall we associate?" He said, "Associate with him the sight of whom reminds you of God, whose words increase your works, and whose works make you desire the next world."
Be ever mindful of God and His kingdom. This is God Consciousness, a safety valve to everlasting life, for everything on earth has been designed to separate the saints from the sinners.

  19. Stop Doing The Opposite.
  20. Jesus said to the disciples, "How would you act if you saw your brother asleep and the wind had blown his cloak off him?" They said, "We should cover and conceal him." He said, "Nay, you would uncover his nakedness." They said, "God forbid! Who would do this?" Then he said, "One of you hears something about his brother, then adds to it and spreads it with an addition."
People claim to love one another, while they are busy everyday destroying the image and fortune of one another. Having conversed with the disciples as in the above, Jesus made it clear to them that people profess love, but are busy practising hypocrisy.

  21. Become Spiritually Awake
  22. Someone said to Jesus, "Who trained you?" He said, "No one trained me. I saw the ignorance of the ignorant man to be a blemish, so I avoided it."
When you become spiritually awake, you shall be full of the Holy Spirit. He who has the Holy Spirit knows the Truth without anybody teaching him. He is more knowledgeable than the teachers and wiser than the wise. This is life everlasting, and it is glorious.

  23. Beware of Looking
  24. Beware of looking, for it sows desire in the heart, and it is sufficient for seduction.
Blessed is he who sees all things and is not moved by what he sees, but is moved by the Holy Spirit within him. He is like the air which passes by a snare, untrapped. It is good to have two eyes, but it is incomparably better to have the spiritually eye open. Seek and know the Truth, and so many unnecessary desires shall phase out of your mind on their own.

  25. Speech Is Good, But Silence Is Golden.
  26. Some people said to Jesus, "Direct us to some work by which we shall enter Paradise." He said, "Never say anything." They said, "We are not able to do that." So he said, "Then never say anything but what is good."
The world admire and praise the outspoken and boisterous ones. Unknown to them, God dwells in silence. Hence, silence is the guardian of wisdom. Triple blessed is he who is accustomed to silence: one, he sins less; two, he has rest for his soul; and three, he is in communion with God.
To say something bad, multiplies evil. But, to say something good, makes heaven manifest.

  27. The Path Of Wisdom
  28. Jesus said, "If one tells many lies, his beauty departs; and if one quarrels with men, his manliness falls to the ground; and if one has many cares, his body becomes ill; and if one has bad manners, he punishes himself."
To tell a lie is like digging a pit for oneself, yet people tell lies often because they are spiritually ignorant. Telling lie makes your beauty, the Holy Spirit, leave you. The world hail the strong and bully, but the heavens make the gentle and meek one a glorious king. Avoid worry and anxiety, they destroy the soul, and make it experience the anguish of hell fire. Any person who hates discipline, brings uncountable troubles to himself.

  29. Treat Everything With Due Respect.
  30. It is related that a pig passed by Jesus, and he said, "Pass in peace." Then someone said, "O Spirit of God, do you say this to a pig?" He replied, "I dislike accustoming my tongue to evil."
He who honours God, but dishonours the least of His creation is not yet wise, for God is outside all things, controlling them, and inside all things, centering them. He is separate from creation, and at the same time pervades creation. Just as the sun is outside the earth, controlling the earth by gravitation, and is inside the earth as sunlight, sustaining life, and is inside the ground as heat, empowering reactions.

  31. Always See The Good Side.
  32. Jesus and the disciples with him passed by the carcase of a dog. The disciples said, "What a stench this dog makes!" Then he said, "How white are its teeth!"
Endeavour to see things from the good side. It is better to commend what is good, than to complain of what is wrong. Every good thing breeds more good, while every bad thing breeds more evil. It is better to spread the light, than to complain of darkness.

  33. The Cause Of Anger
  34. John [the Baptist] said to Jesus (Peace be upon them!), "What is the fiercest thing?" He replied, "God's anger." He said, "Then what comes next to God's anger?" He replied, "That you should be angry." He said, "Then what makes anger begin, and what makes it increase?" He replied, "Pride and boasting and arrogance and indignation."
Pride, boasting, arrogance and indignation are elements of selfishness, which holds sway by selfish desires. The selfish desires cause anger when they are not fulfilled.

  35. Every Man Reaps Whatever He Sows.
  36. The Messiah, son of Mary passed by a company of the Jews; then they spoke evil to him, but he spoke good to them. Then someone said to him, "Verily they are speaking evil, and you are speaking good." He said, "Everyone spends from what he possesses."
The universe is like s spherical mirror. Whatever you put into it, it reflects back to you, manifold. That is why a corn produces so many corns. This is the great secret. And it is the law of abundance.

  37. The Power Of Forgiveness.
  38. It is said that it is written in the Gospel, "He who asks forgiveness for one who has wronged him routs (defeats) the devil."
This is true. In the first place, it was the Devil that inspired the offences in order to put your brother into the hell fire. Prove yourself wiser by forgiving your brother, even before he offends you. For you may not bear to see your brother suffer eternally in the hell fire.

  39. Kindness
  40. Jesus said, "Seek a great amount of what fire cannot consume." Someone said, "And what is that?" He said, "Kindness."
Every kindness is like a precious seed sown in heaven. It bears so much kindness for yourself. People do not know that they have each a heavenly account, in the same way they have earthly bank account. The only way to increase the heavenly treasures is by acts of kindness.

  41. No Need To Show Off
  42. Jesus the Messiah said, "When a day comes in which one of you fasts, let him anoint his head and his beard and wipe his lips, that men may not see that he is fasting. And when he gives with his right hand let him hide it from his left hand, and when he prays let him lower the screen of his door, for God will apportion praise as He apportions provision."
The way of spirit is to reveal and conceal at the same time. Perform all your actions with good intentions, doing so unnoticed. Observe the clouds, the seas, the winds, the lights, the sun, the moon, the stars and others, and see how each moves in silence. Great is the wisdom of God. Emulate it, for in it is life and health for your soul. If each created thing were to make its own noise or boast, the entire universe would not contain all. In all engagements, always remember you are working for God and with God. That is satisfaction. Do not delight in the praises of ignorant multitudes or in the gestures of hypocrites, who would welcome you with kind words and betray you with with a smile.

  43. Who Is Your Teacher?
  44. The Messiah said, "Blessed is he whom God teaches His Book, and who does not die proud."
Since God started teaching me, I learnt in a second what my teachers could not explain in so many years. I have become more knowledgeable than the teachers and wiser than the wise. In pride, there is no gain. But in humility is the greatness everybody is seeking for.

  45. The Right Way.
  46. The Messiah said, "Blessed are the humble in this world; they will be set on high on the Day of Resurrection. Blessed are they who make peace between men in this world; they are those who will inherit Paradise on the Day of Resurrection. Blessed are they whose hearts are purified in this world; they are those who will see God on the Day of Resurrection."
When you are humbled, rejoice. For in humility is great exaltation. In every situation, choose peace. In the end, peace gives you life and abundance of goodness. Here is a great secret: in suffering is much wisdom, and in humiliation is glory. Both humiliation and suffering purify your soul, and make you a Gold.

  47. Level-Headedness
  48. The Messiah said, "Verily the seed grows on level ground and does not grow on a rock; similarly wisdom works in the heart of the humble but does not work in the heart of the proud. Do you not see that if one raises his head to the roof it breaks it; but if one bends down [his head] it shades him and covers him?"
Greatness is found in humility. Even, the Most High is the one most humble. It is the same consuming fire that becomes the rays of light, which make your environment bright and comfrotable.

  49. Right Priorities
  50. The disciples said to the Messiah, "Look at this mosque, how beautiful it is!" Then he said, "My people, my people, verily I say unto you, God will not leave one stone of this mosque standing on another, but will destroy it for the sins of its people. Verily God does not pay any heed to gold, or silver, or these stones which charm you. The things dearest to God are the pure hearts. With them God preserves the earth, and with them He destroys it if they are otherwise."
It is surprising that the churches are busy competing for members, when there is no church in the heavens. But how come that Jesus saw a mosque, when there was no mosque? Those who fabricate stories should beware. The liar never knows when he exposes himself.

  51. Patience
  52. The Messiah said, "Verily you will obtain what you like only by your patience with what you dislike."
Whoever is able to tolerate both good and bad or likes and dislikes, ascends to the heavens as if the heights are not there. Learn to bear patiently and cheerfully, non-complaining, while efforts are being made to change what you do not like.

  53. Detachment
  54. I saw in the Gospel that Jesus, son of Mary said, "It has been said to you formerly, Tooth for tooth and nose for nose; but I say to you, Do not resist evil with evil. On the contrary, if someone strikes your right cheek, turn to him the left cheek; and if one takes your cloak give him your mantle; and if one compels you to go a mile with him go with him two miles."
Whatever you cling to draws you down the ladder of spiritual growth, and whatever you give up pushes you up the ladder of spiritual life. Learn to be a passer-by. Avoid do or die attitude; avoid fight or aggression. They lead into the hell fire.

  55. Do Not Fear, But Be Wise.
  56. It is related concerning the Messiah that he said, "O company of the disciples, you fear acts of disobedience, but we, the companies of the prophets, fear infidelity."
Nothing is worthy enough to prevent you from doing the right thing - the perfect will of the the Father. This is life and it is glorious.

  57. The Right Way.
  58. It is related on the authority of our prophet [i.e. Mohammad] and on the authority of Jesus, "Four things are attained only with trouble--silence, which is the beginning of worship; humility; much glorifying of God; and small possessions."
Delight yourself with silence; it is the abode of God. Value humility; it is the base of greatness. Always give glory to God; it is the key to omnipotence. Be happy with small possessions; it reduces the pilgrim's journey to heaven by nine-tenth.

  59. Purification
  60. Jesus said, "He is not wise who cannot rejoice at entering calamities and illnesses in his body and his wealth on account of what he hopes for from that of remission of his sins."
At times, suffering and illness are used to purify a man, to set him free from hell fire, and to turn him into gold.

  61. Earnest Search
  62. In the stories of Jesus [we read], "When you see a young man smitten with the search after God, then that has engrossed him to the neglect of everything else."
You seek and find God, when you search for Him with all your heart. That is true even when you have lost all hope.

  63. For God Only
  64. It is handed down in the Gospel, "When you give alms, do it so that your left hand does not know what your right hand has done; then he who sees the hidden things will reward you openly. And when you fast, wash your face and anoint your head, that no one other than your Lord may know of it."
Perform all your duties as services rendered to God. This is the easiest way to become a living saint. Do not go about announcing your good deeds, and do not count on the praises of the ignorant masses.

  65. Wisdom
  66. It is related that Jesus said to the Children of Israel, "Where does the seed grow?" They replied, "In the earth." Then he said, "Verily I say unto you, wisdom grows only in a heart like the earth."
The wise would sow so many seeds for wisdom, by exposing himself to many opportunities that would give him wisdom: by study, by quiet times, by meditation, by patience, by selfless service and so on.

  67. Dependence On God
  68. Jesus was asked about the best work, and he said, "Resignation to God and love for Him."
God has called us to delight ourselves in His everlasting feast. Instead of doing just that and find rest to our souls, majority are busy labouring themselves for what does not profit. Your worries and anxieties are thieves that pretend to quicken what you want, but are indeed postponing them. By the time you get what you want, you have paid excessively for them, without knowing that you have created other problems for yourself.
Once, the Lord said, "You have no other duty, except to be praising my work." Yes, indeed. We shall not only praise the Lord. We shall eat His word and become one with Him.

  69. Selflessness
  70. Jesus said, "Blessed is the eye which sleeps and does not think of disobedience, and awakes to sinlessness."
Make yourself ready to render selfless services. By selflessness you by-pass so many hurdles on the way to heaven. Selflessness is the sword that sends the Devil fleeing away from every path of your life. He shies away from selfless service. In meditation, you close your eyes to the things of the world, and then open your spiritual eye to the kingdom of heaven.

  71. Work Without Expecting Rewards
  72. The disciples said to Jesus, "What is the purest of deeds?" Then he replied, "[That of] him who works for God not wishing anyone to praise him for it."
Perform your duties without expecting rewards, without expecting thanks, without expecting praises, without being persuaded or forced. Then, your spiritual wings will soar you very high to the abode of God. If you are a paid worker, do not limit your services to the amount you are paid. Go the extra mile.

  73. Gain More Light
  74. Jesus said, "Things are of three kinds--one whose righteousness is clear, so follow it; another whose error is clear, so avoid it; and another which is doubtful to you, so commit it to him who knows it." [i.e. for him to give advice regarding it.]
He shall no only give advice. He shall also teach and explain more, with details. The worst set among the ignorant are those who say they have known all. Every wise man uses the little light he has to gain more light. Ignorance and sin are like a bridge. You are are expected to cross over once, if at all that is inevitable. You should not remain in them or with them.

  75. It Is Not Enough To Honour The Saints. It Is Far Better To Become One Of Them
  76. The disciples said to Jesus, son of Mary, "O Spirit of God, is there anyone in the earth like you to-day?" He replied, "Yes; he whose talk is glorifying God, whose silence is meditation, and whose look is a tear; he is like me."
Jesus came so that humanity can recognize Him, recognize themselves, and worship the only one true God. Today, many claim to know Jesus, when in fact they have not even known themselves. Everywhere people claim to worship God, but do not worship Him. They assert that God is their Father, yet they say there is none like God. It is all madness. Have you ever seen a lamb that is not like a sheep? A chick that is not like a hen? Or a curb that is not like a lion? The Father and the son are one. He who knows one, also knows the other. But He who does not know one, does not know the other. I, Myself, am a living witness. I know the Father and the Father knows me. The Father and I are one. Jesus came to turn sleeping giants into sons of God, and to make each of them like Himself. But, majority are still sleeping the sleep of death.
Your look becomes a tear when you become a Bright Morning Star, just like the sun that dispells darkness, and whose presence sends every thing evil fleeing away.

  77. Your Own Shall Come To You
  78. Jesus said, "Do not worry about to-morrow's food, for if to-morrow is one of your periods your provisions will come in it along with your periods; and if it is not one of your periods, do not worry about other people's periods."
Do not over-labour yourself. Do not compete. Appreciate the little you have now, while you wait for abundance.

  79. Do Not Hesitate To Visit The Sinners Who Need God
  80. They saw him coming out of a prostitute's house, then someone said to him, "O Spirit of God, what are you doing with this woman?" He replied, "The doctor comes only to the sick."
You must be bold to go to whomsoever that the Lord shall send you to. Do so without unnecessary delay, and never mind what others would say because they are ignorant.

  81. Fear Is Man-made And Unnecessary
  82. Jesus, son of Mary said, "O company of the disciples, verily man is created in the world in four ranks, in three of which he is secure, but in the fourth of which he has evil thoughts, fearing that God will abandon him. As regards the first rank, he is created in three darknesses, the darkness of the belly, the darkness of the womb, and the darkness of the placenta; then God gives him his provision in the depth of the darkness of the belly. Then when he is taken out of the darkness of the belly, he comes to the milk. He does not step to it with foot or leg, or reach out to it with a hand, or leap to it with force; on the contrary, he is forced to it against his inclination and is guarded p. 51 until his flesh and blood grow upon him. Then when he gets beyond milk, he comes into the third rank with respect to food from his parents which they acquire for him of what is allowable and what is forbidden. Then if they die, people are kindly-disposed to him. One gives him food, another gives him drink, another shelters him, and another clothes him. Then when he comes into the fourth rank and grows up and becomes a man, he fears that he will not be given provision, so he attacks men and betrays their trust and steals their goods and takes their possessions by force out of fear that God may abandon him."
This is evil. He begins to reject his trust in God, and so he goes awandering. Restore your trust in God Almighty. Should you need a thing, only say, "Let God provide ..." what you need.

  83. Be Generous
  84. We are told concerning the Messiah that he said, "If God shows generosity to one of His worshippers, His generosity is necessary for all His creatures."
Whatever God has given to you is for the welfare of all His children. You have been given to distribute. The more you distribute, the more you get, though not immediately. But many would not accept to do so. Therefore, they experience lack simply because they refuse to give to others. They block the steady flow of abundance by hoarding.

  85. The Beginning Of Worship
  86. In a tradition [it is said] that Jesus, son of Mary met a man and said to him, "What are you doing?" He replied, "I am devoting myself to God." He said, "Who is giving you what you need?" He said, "My brother." [Jesus] said, "He is more devoted to God than you."
True worship of God starts with selfless service to others. Whoever that ignores this fact makes himself hypocrite number one.

  87. All Actions Are Performed By The Forces Of Nature, By The Holy Spirit
  88. Jesus said to the disciples, "Do not consider men's works as though you were lords, but consider your own works as though you were servants; for people are only of two kinds, tried and preserved. So have pity on those who are tried, and praise God for health."
All actions are performed by the forces of nature, by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, everybody is only a tool in the hands of God. Give glory to God, who animates and dominates all things. As gold is refined in the furnace of fire, so are acceptable men tried in the furnace of humiliation and suffering. Blessed is he who emerges therefrom victorious, for he shall become a king of the universe.

  89. You Must Render Account Of Your Life
  90. And among the things which God sent down to the Messiah in the Gospel [we read], "We have made you desire, but you have not desired; and we have wailed to you, but you did not weep. O you of fifty years, what have you sent before and what have you left behind! O you of sixty years, your harvest has come near. O you of seventy years, come to the account."
The world is God's own school. As examination is used to grade the student's performance so shall righteousness be used to separate the good from the bad on the day of judgment. The longer you live, the more you are expected to become Godly.

  91. You Are Blameless
  92. The Messiah passed by some people of the Children of Israel who were weeping, and said to them, "What makes you weep?" They replied, "We are weeping for our sins." He said, "Leave them alone; they are forgiven you."
God does not reject anybody because he sinned. He rejects people simply because they refuse to repent. God knows that people shall surely sin, and so, He provided a permanent solution, which is forgiveness.

  93. Be Open-minded. Yet, Careful.
  94. We have been told about Jesus that someone said to him, "Who is the mightiest of men in seduction?" He replied, "The slip of a learned man; when he slips a world slips with him."
It is better to test and confirm the Truth a hundred times than to hold one - single - belief that is false.

  95. Seek The Kingdom
  96. The Messiah passed some dyers outside the city and stopped beside them and said to them, "Do you think that when you have washed and purified and whitened these clothes, their owners will be right p. 53 in putting them on while their bodies are soiled with blood and urine and excrement and various kinds of filthiness?" They replied, "No, the one who did that would be foolish." He said, "You yourselves have done it." They said, "How?" He said, "Because you have purified your bodies and whitened your clothes while your souls are soiled with rottenness, full of filthiness from ignorance and blindness and dumbness and evil manners and envy and hatred and guile and deceit and covetousness and niggardliness and wickedness and evil thoughts and the pursuit of evil desires, and you are in the abasement of slavery, wretches for whom there is no rest but death and the grave."

Then they said, "How shall we act? Is there any escape from seeking a livelihood?" He said, "Can you take pleasure in the kingdom of heaven where there is no death, or decrepitude, or pain, or illness, or hunger, or thirst, or fear, or grief, or poverty, or need, or weariness, or affliction, or care, or envy among its people, or hatred, or boasting, or pride? But on the contrary, brethren sit opposite one another on couches, glad and rejoicing in pleasure and bounty and favour and satisfaction and splendour and agreeableness, walking in the vastness of the spheres in the wideness of the heavens, and seeing the kingdom of the Lord of the worlds and beholding the angels round His throne, pure, p. 54 celebrating the praise of their Lord with melodies and tunes the like of which men and jinn have never heard. And you will be with them for ever, not ageing, or dying, or hungering, or thirsting, or becoming ill, or fearing, or grieving."
A wise man will do everything in such a way that he gets closer and closer to the kingdom. The foolish ones care for the body, dresses and wealth, and perish with the world. But the wise ones concern themselves with virtues, and attain the everlasting kingdom.

  97. Love Because God Is Love, Loving And Beloved.
  98. Jesus, son of Mary , in what Ibn al Hamal the Christian scribe told us, said to his disciples, "The sign by which you are known as being from me is that you love one another." And Jesus said also to Joshua, his disciple, "As regards the Lord, you must love him with all your heart, then love your neighbour as you love yourself." They said to him, "Explain to us, O Spirit of God, what is the difference between these two loves, so that we may prepare for them with discernment and clearness." He said, "You love your friend for yourself, and you love yourself for your Lord; so when you guard your friend you do it for yourself, and when you are bountiful to yourself you are so towards your Lord."
One spirit pervades the entire universe. Yourself is also this spirit. When you do good or evil to others, you do it to yourself. This is the great secret about life. The wise do not play with it, and therefore they always follow the dictates of love.

  99. Make Your Consciousness Godly, Always.
  100. Jesus, son of Mary, said to the disciples, "O salt of the earth, do not become bad, for when things become bad they can be treated only with salt, but when salt becomes bad it cannot be treated with anything. O company of the disciples, do not take remuneration from those whom you teach, except like what you have given me. And know that there are two characteristics of ignorance in you--laughter without anything extraordinary, and sleeping in the morning without a [previous] vigil."
You become whatever you always concern yourself with. Therefore, always concern yourself with Godliness. A soul without the Holy Spirit is indeed worthless, for there is no righteousness in it or from it. It is both dead and useless. Be full of the Holy Spirit, for then, you are not only gold, but also glorious. A foolish person wastes his precious time by the seconds and minutes, and says it does not matter. On the contrary, the wise person says time is very precious and small, and must not be wasted. Responsibility begins with timeliness, readiness and willingliness.
